mwtVision is designed to run on commodity hardware, and is built using a foundation of proven software:
- Operating system: GNU/Linux 2.4
- Webserver: Apache, PHP
- Security: OpenSSL and OpenSSH
- Database: MySQL
- Graphing: RRDTool
Backups
All data is backed up constantly to our data center, which also monitors and alerts a technician when the site doesn't check in. The data center has a full DC power plant, including multiple UPS batteries and a diesel generator. Two seperate fiber optic lines connect directly to Peer 1 and 360 Networks.
